Dear GOLD Youth Leadership Program Supporters,

 

Dana Gold and I first met about 20 years ago when we both started working on a youth leadership program called HOBY, in San Antonio.  Every year since, he and I shared the passion of making a difference in young people's lives, no matter their background, with the hope that they would go on to be successful leaders in their schools, communities, and businesses.

 

Today, in its first year, the GOLD Youth Leadership Program is taking shape in celebration of a great man's life.  Dana's dream lives on through a youth leadership program that embodies all of the ideals of model leadership, service, and hope.

 

High school sophomores from throughout South Texas will come together for a weekend of leadership development in San Antonio in June.  Together they will learn more about themselves and each other.  They will hear from today's leaders in education, business, and government.  They will leave the weekend ready to conquer whatever comes their way.

 

I hope you'll choose to support the GOLD Youth Leadership Program not so much for what it can do, but what it will do.  Your time, energy, and/or financial support will be appreciated by students who want to make the world a better place.

I am a former 2002 Ambassador and now HOBY Alumni, and I would love to help out with this new and exciting program that I have read about in your news letter. The Gold Youth Leadership Program has objectives that I really believe in. So if you need any help this summer or with anything else, it would be an honor.
